yes i agree with citybirding, they are not as rare as you may think, if you go down to the area of Wellstream they are regularly a couple there, you may even be lucky to see them working, but that is rare

That looks like the 'short stubby little toed crane'. There's another in the background. The taller ones are prettier and more graceful. :)
