    There was a few hunting around in the undergrowth on the ground, lovely to watch them. Starlings are stunning birds when you take a good look at them.

  3. I've always liked Starlings, John. They're such colourful birds. I've never seen a Reed Bunting before - what a fantastic little bird, the markings are just perfect!

    Get a nice bit of light on a Starling and voila! Usually overlooked by birders but i think they are characters, always up to something. The Reed Bunting is quite a common bird usually associated with water. They can usually be seen right at the top of reeds although the few i saw were on the ground.

    I think the CANON and light should take most of the plaudits.

    There is a nice mix of "texture" with the dots. But to be honest, while i was capturing them it was the brilliant colouration of the wings that was catching my eye.
