Bellcrag Flow
If you are able to put one foot in front of the other i suggested you do so and get along to this little gem. Part of the Border Mires, Mr. Cheviot and i accessed it midweek via the Pennime Way heading south from Ladyhill where we parked up. Part of the walk was on forest tracks and rides the other over moorland. Plenty to see before we got to the Flow with butterflies, dragons and damsells, as well as a few birds.

Both of these species are Common, or so the books say, I think they are special!

Brilliant images John. I like them all, but especially the one of the frog. When enlarged it's so beautiful. I love the gold rim on the frog's eyes. It's no wonder frogs inspire jewellers, sculptors, etc.

I have been enjoying your blog for a long time now and i think it was one of your postings that brought Bellcrag Flow to my attention. If i remember rightly you were going to visit this little gem but didn't get. Anyway, i read up on it and had to get. Pleased i did. Thanks for that.

Thanks. I was looking forward to the dragons and damsels on my visit so the appearances made by frog and lizard were a bonus. Both stunning creatures and quite approachable. They are stunning when you look closely , aren't they?
