I believe David C read Killy's blog after attending question time in the house yesterday. He read of the intended handcuffing naked to a tree of Killy, in protest to this forest sell off. He spoke to his colleagues about the threat and an immediate U Turn of policy was made. It's amazing what thoughts of Killy in the buff can do. I guess the rallies and Half million plus signatures played a part too. Good News. Brian.
Brian, please, i'm just goimg for my tea !! Great result though. Just need the petrol prices sorted then we can afford to go out for the day again to enjoy the woodlands.
Makes a pleasant change for the government to listen to the people. We put them there only to be ignored by them, usually. I think we as a nation should speak out loudly a bit more often about a few more issues (petrol) and we might be listened to more often. A small pat on the back to everyone who wrote to their M.P. and/or signed the petition. I'm suprised and disappointed only 500,000 signed.
...... er well, I'm all for a free weekly bag of pine nuts for us veggies, quarterly cosmetic voucher for all ladies over the age of 50, one free holiday for every family.... as long as it's taken in the u.k., ...... and I'm sure I can come up with loads more! :D

Just heard the news tonight John. It's a fantastic result! Just goes to show that when the public shout loud enough, some notice is taken. :)
