Great Crested Grebe defending nest.

Saturday morning early at Killingworth Lakes had THE Howdon Blogger and i watching the G.C.Gs in wonderful light. It was good to see that the Grebes on the larger lake had produced an egg and we had views of it being turned. Prior to that one of the Coots headed over to the nest................
Temper, temper.

  1. Good shot John, you selected the right angle, whilst from where I was it was a bit wishy washy.

  2. I've got another from a different angle from yesterday morning. The exposure on these birds is hard to get correct !!
