I was the Interpreter (when the Southeners shouted "theres a pretty bird" I would tell John what it was) and the passport was in the form of a picture of Charles Darwin and a Bee Eater handed in at the border (Tyne Tunnel).
I actually took my copy of Larn Y'sell Geordie as my passport and using John as an interpreter was a bad idea as i divvent na what he's talking about half of the time !!
Is that the real one near Waalbottle or the one daan saath?
